Menteath Treatments

These Terms & Conditions apply to all facial treatments, massage therapies, body rituals, consultations, workshops, and related wellness services provided by Menteath.

By booking a treatment with Menteath, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

1. About Menteath

Menteath provides holistic facial treatments, massage therapies, wellness rituals, and skincare experiences designed to support wellbeing, relaxation, and skin health.

Treatments are offered at Menteath locations, partner venues, retreat spaces, and selected event locations.

2. Bookings

All treatments are available by appointment only.

Appointments may be booked through:

The Menteath website
Approved booking platforms
Email correspondence
Direct communication with the Menteath team

A booking is confirmed only when you receive confirmation from Menteath and any required payment or deposit has been received.

We reserve the right to decline or cancel bookings at our discretion where necessary.

3. Deposits & Payment

Full payment or a deposit may be required to secure your appointment.

Where a deposit is taken:

Deposits are non-refundable.
Deposits may be transferred to a new appointment if sufficient notice is given in accordance with our cancellation policy.

All treatment prices are shown in GBP (£) and may be updated without prior notice.

4. Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy

We understand that plans occasionally change.

Individual Treatments

More than 48 hours' notice: appointment may be rescheduled without charge.
24–48 hours' notice: deposit may be retained.
Less than 24 hours' notice: 100% of the treatment fee is payable.
Failure to attend an appointment ("no-show"): 100% of the treatment fee is payable.

Late arrivals may result in a shortened treatment time to avoid disruption to subsequent bookings. Full treatment fees remain applicable.

5. Gift Vouchers

Gift vouchers:

Are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
Must be redeemed before the expiry date stated.
May be transferred to another recipient unless otherwise specified.
Cannot be replaced if lost, stolen, or damaged.

6. Health & Medical Information

Your wellbeing and safety are our priority.

Before treatment, you must disclose:

Medical conditions
Injuries
Allergies
Skin sensitivities
Pregnancy
Recent surgeries or cosmetic procedures
Any medication that may affect treatment

Failure to provide accurate information may affect treatment suitability and results.

Menteath reserves the right to refuse or modify treatments where we believe a treatment may be unsuitable or unsafe.

7. Pregnancy

Certain treatments may not be suitable during pregnancy.

Please notify us before booking if you are pregnant or believe you may be pregnant.

We may recommend alternative treatments or require medical approval before proceeding.

8. Facial Treatments

Results from facial treatments vary between individuals and cannot be guaranteed.

Following treatment:

Temporary redness, sensitivity, or mild irritation may occur.
You agree to follow any aftercare advice provided.
Menteath cannot accept responsibility for adverse reactions where contraindications, allergies, or medical information were not disclosed.

Patch testing may be required for certain treatments.

9. Massage Treatments

Massage treatments are intended to support relaxation, wellbeing, and muscular comfort.

They are not a substitute for medical diagnosis or treatment.

You should seek advice from an appropriately qualified healthcare professional regarding any medical concerns.

If you experience discomfort during treatment, please inform your therapist immediately.

10. Right to Refuse Treatment

Menteath reserves the right to refuse or discontinue treatment where:

A treatment is deemed unsuitable
Health concerns are identified
Inappropriate behaviour occurs
A client appears intoxicated or under the influence of drugs
Staff safety or wellbeing may be compromised

In such circumstances, treatment fees may remain payable.

11. Personal Belongings

Clients are responsible for their personal belongings at all times.

Menteath accepts no responsibility for loss, theft, or damage to personal property unless caused directly by our negligence.

We recommend leaving valuable items at home.

12. Treatment Results

Our treatments are designed to support wellbeing, relaxation, and skin health.

As every individual is unique, results will vary and cannot be guaranteed.

No treatment, skincare product, massage, or wellness service should be interpreted as a medical treatment, diagnosis, or cure.

13. Behaviour & Respect

Menteath is committed to creating a calm, respectful environment for all clients and practitioners.

We reserve the right to terminate appointments immediately where behaviour is:

Abusive
Aggressive
Harassing
Discriminatory
Inappropriate towards staff or other guests

Future bookings may also be refused.

14. Photography & Content

Photography, filming, or recording within treatment spaces is not permitted without prior consent.

From time to time, Menteath may request permission to photograph treatment spaces, events, or client experiences for marketing purposes. Written consent will always be obtained beforehand.

15. Liability

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions limits any rights you may have under applicable UK consumer law.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Menteath shall not be liable for:

Indirect or consequential loss
Personal belongings lost or damaged during visits
Reactions resulting from undisclosed medical conditions or allergies
Circumstances beyond our reasonable control

Our liability is limited to the value of the treatment booked.

16. Privacy

Any personal information collected during bookings or consultations will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable UK data protection legislation.

Health information is collected solely for treatment suitability and client safety.
